With You

by Raggedy Edge

/
  • Compact Disc (CD) + Digital Album

The freshman CD of Raggedy Edge, this is the one that is most indicative of their sound as a duo, featuring guitar and mandolin, with a few overdubs, of course, because it is a recording after all. Musical diversity is the name of the game for most Raggedy Edge CDs, and with everything from bluegrass (Bermuda Triangle Breakdown, featuring Pat Carine Sr on banjo) to the jazzy stylings of Facebook Status and Moments in the Morning, this one set the standard for all to follow. Story songs with plenty of upbeat cheer, love songs that shine with hopefulness, fun blues rockers, and a sensitive south of the border salsa to bring it home make sure that you are not mired in a sea of anonymity.

TAKE A CHANCE Bob Farley & Lynn Perdzock ©6.11 Sun chases moon across the sky They dance their dance as you and I Find what we will be What's right for you and me Take a chance, give and take Take a chance, hearts may break Take a chance, make no mistake Gotta take a chance for love Birds turn cartwheels in the sky A love embrace in flight Free fall then part An end and a start Take a chance... Flowers wait til night is done Then seek rays from the sun Like petals that unfold Our story will be told Take a chance...

about

Freshman effort of Raggedy Edge, a close approximation of the duo live, with of course some overdubbing thrown in because it's a recording, so why not. Focusing on guitars and mandolins, with a bluegrass saga that features some banjo playing by friend Pat Carine Sr. Other songs are upbeat story songs, with a couple of love songs, including the first tune the duo wrote together (Take A Chance). Blues beats come into play with Two Left Feet, jazz peaks its nose around the corner in Facebook Status, and a little bit of south of the border from Crazy Blue Skies brings the set home.
