My Favorite Deja Vu shows what Raggedy Edge can be as a quartet, with Dutch Workman on drums and percussion and John Huston stepping in with bass and keyboards. They add a new level of musicianship to the songs of Lynn and Bob. This collection continues Raggedy Edge's refusal to be pigeonholed into a genre as it jumps from country rock, to jazzy country, blues and more.

On our first CD, we had an overtly bluegrass song, "Bermuda Triangle Breakdown," and on this one, we have an overtly old-style country song, "Take It From Me." It details the early days of a couple's love affair, where one is ready to stay and the other has a few things left in the bucket list before making a choice to stay. It features expressive piano by John Houston, reminiscent of Nicky Hopkins of early Rolling Stones records. The song was written with Mick Jagger and the late George Jones in mind, for a combo code-named George Jagger. This mindset has another couple of songs in the till for the future, so we haven't seen the last of George Jagger.
lyrics
Take It From Me
(Farley & Perdzock)
I don't want you to go but I want you to know
That I hope you're doing okay. And you've got a right
To set your sights on that big loving pay day
And if you can’t commit, I’ll get over it, and learn to be single again
But if hugs and a smile, never go out of style
We’re gonna be more than friends
Take It From Me, take me for what I am
Take it for free, in your way I won't stand
You're going to see what kind of man you make me into
Forever's a long time, but if you got a minute
I've got a half a mind, and you're all that's in it
Would you be so inclined to want to spend it
Just me and you
Now you've come home, and you want time alone
Every now and then that's ok, I've been that way too
But not so much with you, That's why it's easy to stay
You got to know that I’ve got to go for the fairytale storybook end
With the hugs and the laughter and the forever after
And here’s where the story be gins
Forever’s a long time, but if you got a minute
I’ve got a half a mind and you’re all that’s in it
Would you be so inclined to want to spend it just me and you
Just me and you
