  • Compact Disc (CD) + Digital Album

My Favorite Deja Vu shows what Raggedy Edge can be as a quartet, with Dutch Workman on drums and percussion and John Huston stepping in with bass and keyboards. They add a new level of musicianship to the songs of Lynn and Bob. This collection continues Raggedy Edge's refusal to be pigeonholed into a genre as it jumps from country rock, to jazzy country, blues and more.

about

Most of the chorus of Push and Pull of Time is one I've had for decades, but the rest of the lyrics were always too deep and dark. Now it's a homage to procrastination and sticking foot in mouth situations. It's currently our big finale rocker.
~Bob

lyrics

The Push and Pull of Time
(Farley and Perdzock)
Woke up with a symphony laid out in my head
Turned into an ad jingle by the time I got out of bed
I blame procrastination. Do it every day
Put off till tomorrow what I put off yesterday

Yesterday today tomorrow
They're all in your mind
Stuck in the in-betweenness
Of The Push and Pull of Time

Hair like scissors on my pillow, feathering my mind
How is it I give away what was never really mine?
A gift beyond all giving, a dream without a spark
Flashing in the bright light like a mug shot in the dark

There are plans that always work, others best laid fail
We keep coming up with reasons to hit the dusty trail
The moon is up, the stars are out, the owl flies like a cloud
Erasure's not an option when the thoughts are said aloud
